Seniors Hostel, Too: 08/02/06

I came across this delightful place in beautiful downtown Toronto. It's a "not-quite-but-almost-a-hostel" that's bound to pleae 55+ travelers.

They have rooms with 2 twins for about $56.00 US or a double bed for about $62.00. The double rooms are apparently large with great views of the city.

Then, of course, there is a common kitchen and lounge, and a lovely outdoor patio on the 23rd floor that overlooks the downtown.

The Summer Hotel occupies approximately 15 floors of our 22 story building. There are 4 hotel apartment units on each floor. Within each unit you'll find 4 or 5 private bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen/common lounge area. It's a great way for a guest to meet new people, yet maintain bedroom privacy. It's also convenient for chaperoning large groups.

Our Front Desk and Concierge services are available 24 hours a day. If you need directions to attractions or assistance planning a day trip, our staff is there to help. Guests are welcome to check-in any time after 4:00 pm. Check-out time is 10:00 am. Our Cafe is open from 7:00 to 1:00 pm every day. Be sure to sample our Traditional Canadian Breakfast.
